INTRODUCTION
Our school started education and training in the center of Nevşehir in 1997-1998 academic year, affiliated to Erciyes University. Our school was connected to Nevşehir University with the establishment of Nevşehir University in 2007 and was named Semra and Vefa Küçük Sağlık Higher School. Providing education and training under the Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ), '' Semra and Vefa Küçük Sağlık Yüksekokulu '', named as the 'Semra and Vefa Küçük Faculty of Health Sciences” in 2019. We would like to extend our thanks to Nevşehir businessman Mr. Vefa KÜÇÜK, which enables us to have a building suitable for university education, and we wish him continued success.
Our faculty has a nursing department that continues active education, and the total number of students is 489 in 2019-2020 academic year. Our faculty; one professor, seven lecturers and eight lecturers. The purpose of our faculty; To train professionals who have adopted the philosophy of Basic Health Services, responding to the changing needs of the society, and who will perform the information-based, rational and systematic delivery of health services.
The practice of vocational courses in our faculty education program, pre-clinical practice laboratories and technical classrooms available in our school, and Health Institutions (Public Hospitals, Private Hospitals, Community Health Center, Family Health Centers, Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes) in our city. In order to contribute to the psycho-social development of our faculty students and to increase their social activities, student clubs have been established within our university and their activities continue.
Offered to the service of students in our faculty; conference hall, practical technical classroom, anatomy classroom, computer practice laboratory, birth class, first aid class are available. Our faculty has rich equipment in terms of education and training tools. Our students can benefit from sports facilities in our university and region for sportive activities. They can also participate in tourism activities and organized valley walks that are specific to our region. Our faculty, which offers 4-year undergraduate education, continues to train qualified health professionals in line with its intended goals by renewing itself.
