PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

Establishment

Our school, affiliated to Erciyes University, started education and training as Nevşehir Health School in the 1997-1998 academic year in Nevşehir city center. With the establishment of Nevşehir University with the Law No. 5662 dated May 17, 2007, our school was connected to our University and was named Semra and Vefa Küçük Health School. 'Semra and Vefa Small Health Sciences School', which is affiliated to Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ), started education and training as 'Semra and Vefa Small Health Sciences Faculty' with the Presidential Decree dated 01/08/2019 and numbered 1385. continues.

Students who successfully complete all the courses available in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS) and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are awarded a NURSING undergraduate diploma.

Admission and Registration Conditions

In our country, it is necessary to be successful in the university entrance exam. Entrance to undergraduate programs depends only on the score obtained from this exam. Students send their preference forms to the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) by listing the department preferences they can enter according to the scores they get as a result of the exam. ÖSYM is an institution affiliated to YÖK. ÖSYM receives all applications, groups the applications according to the type of score, ranks the scores from the highest to the lowest, lists all available programs according to the preferred score type and places the students in one of the programs they prefer. The selection of foreign students who will enter the universities in our country is made according to the results of the central examination called the Foreign Student Examination (YÖS). Foreign students are also accepted to existing programs within the framework of a certain quota.

Recognition of Prior Learning

An exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term for courses such as Computer and Basic English included in the education plans of the programs. Students who think that they provide the expected learning outcomes from these courses have the right to take the exams. Students who are successful in the exam are exempt from the relevant course in the curriculum.

Employment Profiles of Graduates

Graduates; They can work as nurses in all institutions that provide preventive, curative and rehabilitative health services, or they can work independently. Graduates who want to take part in the academic staff can work as lecturers in Schools of Nursing, Schools of Health and Faculties of Health Sciences.

Transition to Senior Programs

Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate, master's and doctoral programs, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.

The application of the vocational courses in the education program of our faculty is carried out in the pre-clinical practice laboratories and technical classrooms in our school and in the Health Institutions (State Hospitals, Private Hospitals, Community Health Centers, Family Health Centers), Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes.
